ABC Radio widget provides access to the streaming content provided by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The widget is based on the BBC Radio widget which provides access to the streaming content provided by the BBC.

ABC Radio Widget is designed as for Mac OS X and runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs

REQUIREMENTS: ABC Radio Widget requires OSX 10.4 and Real Player. If you do not have Real Player installed, opening the widget will prompt you to download and install the free version of Real Player.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

1. Click here.
2. If Real Player is properly installed it will open Real Player and attempt to begin playing ABC's stream of 702 Sydney. Otherwise, it will download a file called 702stream.ram, which you should open. This will open Real Player, and Real Player will probably tell you that it needs to close your web browsers to complete its configuration. Let it. This will install the Real Player internet plug-in.
3. In either case, if 702 Sydney begins to play, all is well. If 702 Sydney does not play, the problem is with the configuration of Real Player, or a firewall blocking the incoming stream.
4. If 702 plays properly in Real Player, the next step is to close the widget. Click on the + sign at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. This will reveal a x at the top left of the widget. Click the x to close the widget. Then choose the widget again from the widget bar. It should now work.
5. Please note that there seems to be a bug playing the Triple J stream. In our tests we receive a dialog box telling us that Real Player is unable to contact the server, but the stream does eventually play anyway. We are looking into this issue.
6. There is a known issue with older versions of Real Player, which, of course, can be resolved by downloading and installing the latest version.
7. If this does not succeed in resolving the issue, please contact us by e-mail. Please give me as much information as possible, including a description of what happened when you tried the troubleshooting steps above. Please note that it may not be possible to respond to all requests.
