Search Engine Optimisation is important because this is the way the majority of your visitors will find your site.

There are three important aspects to Search Engine Optimisation

1. Site content (it's important to have good unique and growing content to rank well in search engines)
2. Site construction (there are technical aspects to make your site more friendly for google and give you higher rankings, aspects including search friendly URLs, specific title tags, XML sitemaps)
3. External links from good sites (Often if you have great content and products/services external sites will link to you. There are a few options make sure you exist in the proper directories, but this is generally a hard area to implement)
